i really didnt know what these characters were, but on the merchandise box says that Miga is a BearWhale... Quatchi is a sassqatch, and sumi is a spiritual guardian with the hat of the orca whale, the wings of a firebird and the strong feet of a bear.
films that look really great usually end up being really boring, having no entertainment value at all and lacking good animation. with "Alarm" THIS IS NOT THE CASE! This film has an incredible charm. the story is really simple but well done and executed well! this film is so good that im actually taking time to write about it!
anyway, join team MESAI as they tell a story about a korean boy and his battle with narcolepsy!
directed by Moo-hyun Jang and team MESAI
whats interesting though... is the whole milk sequence. it doesnt really serve any significance to the story, so why is it there? and then i realized... if it wasnt there... then i would just be seeing the same gag again making the gags boring and predictable! the milk sequence breaks things up and stays one step ahead of the audience.
A 3rd year Sheridan film done a while ago by Cal Brunker, Jasper Kidd and Matt Whelan. They contacted (insert band here) to do a music video, and heres the result!
This guy has directed a couple of animated shorts. they look really cool but we cant see the full version yet 'cause hes submitting them to festivals :\ enjoy the trailers though, and check out his website
as i was watching the first part of this trailer i was thinking: this could probably be done as a 4th year film. but then it gets all trippy! incorporating not only 3d, but stop motion! this is the craziest and most artistic game trailer ive seen in a while.
I think i have taken 2 days just to study the art of hacky sack and to thumbnail out the animation. i felt soooo unproductive :(. but in the end, you become more confident when actually keying out the animation. so, study study study!
also, you'll noticed that i have the ball completely splined and Moom still in keys. this is just to get the sack movement just right and then adjust Moom to react to the ball moving. a bit tricky, but got it to work.
I'll let you guys guess what happens at the end :3
